GeoHydroCycle was founded in 1991 by Stephen W. Smith as an environmental consulting practice specializing in groundwater hydrology and environmental investigations. Mr. Smith has more than 24 years consulting experience, providing clients with timely and cost-effective results in finding and managing groundwater supply, site assessments, emergency response actions, environmental impact assessments, and hazardous waste investigation and remediation. Mr. Smith is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and has been teaching Groundwater Modeling (14.575), a three credit graduate course in the civil engineering curriculum, since 1991.
Thomas W. Malatesta joined the firm in January of 2002 as an Environmental Engineer just after he graduated in 2001 with honors from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. While obtaining his engineering degree, Mr. Malatesta also completed a Business Minor with high honors. Mr. Malatesta's focus at GeoHydroCycle is in the areas of hazardous waste investigations, watershed investigations and technical analyses.
Laurie C. Boehl also joined the firm in 2002 as a full-time Environmental Scientist after graduating in 2002 from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with high honors. Ms. Boehl's focus at GeoHydroCycle will be in the areas of groundwater investigations, hazardous waste assessments and technical analyses.
Andrew M. Koenigsberg, P.G., provides part-time senior hydrogeologic consulting and software development support.  He is also the company's web master.
